UEFA Launches Investigation into Real Madrid Players for Alleged Inappropriate Behavior

UEFA is looking into allegations of 'indecent conduct' involving four Real Madrid players following their recent Champions League match.

UEFA announced its investigation on Thursday regarding four players from Real Madrid for alleged “indecent conduct” during their recent Champions League matchup.

A UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector has been appointed to look into the conduct of Antonio Rudiger, Kylian Mbappe, Dani Ceballos, and Vinicius Junior during the game against Atletico Madrid on March 12, 2025. The governing body stated:

“A UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector has been appointed to investigate allegations of indecent conduct by Real Madrid CF players during the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 match.”

Although specific incidents under scrutiny were not detailed, reports indicate it relates to actions made during post-match celebrations, where players expressed animated gestures toward rival fans, leading to thrown objects from spectators.

Punishments could potentially affect their ability to participate in upcoming matches, including a key quarterfinal against Arsenal scheduled for April 8.

This development adds another layer to an already dramatic second-leg tie in Madrid, which concluded with Real Madrid winning during penalty kicks after a challenging match.
