ATLANTA – An electrifying atmosphere enveloped State Farm Arena as Auburn’s Johni Broome, the star of the game, overcame injury fears to lead his team to a pivotal win against Michigan State, securing a spot in the Final Four.

He faced a moment of tension as he went down, grasping his right arm, causing concern for both his team and fans. “It looked bad, but our focus was on him,” brooded Auburn associate head coach Steven Pearl.

After a brief stint on the sidelines, Broome re-entered and immediately showcased his tenacity, nailing a crucial three-pointer to ignite the crowd. “That’s why he’s an All-American,” reflected Michigan State’s head coach, Tom Izzo.
