2025 College Basketball Crown: Butler Upsets Utah in Inaugural Tournament

In a thrilling debut, Butler edged out Utah with a last-second layup to kick off the College Basketball Crown in Las Vegas.

The inaugural College Basketball Crown tournament kicked off with excitement as Butler secured a late victory over Utah, winning 86-84. Star guard Pierre Brooks scored the game-winning layup with just seconds left on the clock. Brooks accomplished a stellar performance, finishing with a game-high 22 points.

The tournament continues with further matches scheduled, including a matchup between Villanova and Colorado on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. ET. Other teams include Boise State, DePaul, and Cincinnati, all vying for a spot in the quarterfinals. The championship game is set for Sunday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
