Lottie Woad Takes Commanding Lead at 2025 Augusta National Women's Amateur

As the championship approaches, reigning champion Lottie Woad shares the lead after impressive play at Champions Retreat Golf Club.

Two rounds of the 2025 Augusta National Women’s Amateur are complete, with reigning champion Lottie Woad sharing the lead after a solid 2-under 70 at Champions Retreat Golf Club.

Her performance brings her level with Kiara Romero, who played to a 67-68, both standing at 9 under overall.

“Honestly, not much changed,” Romero said. “I feel like I’ve been playing well despite the bad holes, and having support from fans helps a lot.”

The leader of the first round, Megha Ganne, recorded an impressive opening round with a record-setting 9-under 63 but struggled in her second, remaining competitive at 8 under.

The final round will occur Saturday at Augusta National, with 32 players making the cut. Expectations rise for a thrilling conclusion to this year’s championship.
