Charlotte Hornets guard Brandon Miller will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right wrist.
The Hornets confirmed the surgery on Thursday, stating that the team will provide updates on his recovery progress. Miller had suffered the injury during the Hornets’ victory against Utah last week.
As the second overall draft pick in 2023, Miller averaged 21 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.1 steals across 27 games in this second season. He was the Hornets’ second-leading scorer, hitting 3.9 three-pointers per game, which ranks fifth in the NBA.
Miller was honored as a member of the NBA’s All-Rookie First Team last season and earned the Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month title three times. He finished third in the voting for Rookie of the Year.
