Nikola Jokic's Incredible 66-Foot Buzzer-Beater Secures Historic Triple-Double
Nikola Jokic makes NBA history with an astonishing late-quarter shot while achieving a rare triple-double.
Nikola Jokic delivered a spectacular performance in the Denver Nuggets’ 132-123 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Thursday, featuring one of the most remarkable buzzer-beaters ever recorded.
With under two seconds left in the third quarter, Jokic caught an inbounds pass from Aaron Gordon. He then made a swift step forward and launched a shot from just inside the three-point line on the left wing. Surprisingly, the shot went in, measured at an extraordinary 66 feet from the basket according to NBA.com.
The crowd at Ball Arena erupted as they cheered, while Jokic maintained his composure, allowing his teammates to celebrate around him.
“I knew it was going in,” he remarked after the game.
Beyond this highlight, Jokic tallied 35 points, 22 rebounds, and 17 assists, marking him as the first player since Wilt Chamberlain to achieve a game with at least 35 points, 20 rebounds, and 15 assists in a single match. This performance also marked Jokic’s fifth straight triple-double before the fourth quarter, bringing his season total to a leading 20 triple-doubles, with 14 occurring before the end of the third period.
Jokic’s versatility shines as he combines the skills of a point guard despite being a towering 7-foot center. The reigning NBA champion claimed his third MVP title last season and is once again a front-runner for the award this year. Such extraordinary highlights continue to emphasize his incredible talent.
In a tweet from the Denver Nuggets, it read:

Earlier that same day, Jokic received an invitation to his seventh NBA All-Star game, being voted in as a starter. The Nuggets currently sit fourth in the Western Conference with a record of 28-16, and they are scheduled to face the Minnesota Timberwolves this Saturday.
