Justin Pippen, Son of Scottie Pippen, Chooses Cal After One Year at Michigan
Justin Pippen has announced his transfer to California after spending a season with Michigan, participating in the NCAA basketball scene.
Justin Pippen, the son of NBA Hall of Fame player Scottie Pippen, has committed to California after spending a single season with Michigan. He announced his decision via social media on Tuesday. Pippen entered the transfer portal shortly before Michigan’s matchup against Auburn in the NCAA Sweet 16.
Pippen had limited playtime this season, averaging 1.6 points, 0.7 rebounds, and 0.6 assists over 12 games. His standout performance came when he scored 10 points against Purdue Fort Wayne in December. As a four-star recruit from Sierra Canyon High School in California, he opted for Michigan over other schools including Florida and Stanford.
Pippen now becomes Cal’s third transfer portal commitment for this cycle, joining Virginia’s Dai Dai Ames and Loyola’s Milos Ilic.
