LeBron James continues to break records as he is selected for the NBA All-Star Game for the 21st consecutive year, extending his historic streak.
LeBron James is extending his All-Star records. The NBA revealed the starters for the revamped All-Star Game, and James is officially an All-Star for the 21st year.
Other Starters
- New York’s Jalen Brunson and Cleveland’s Donovan Mitchell as the Eastern Conference guards.
- Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo, Boston’s Jayson Tatum, and New York’s Karl-Anthony Towns as frontcourt players in the East.
- Golden State’s Stephen Curry and NBA leading scorer Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as Western Conference guards.
- Phoenix’s Kevin Durant and Denver’s Nikola Jokic as frontcourt players in the West, joining James.
The starters were picked through weighted balloting: 50% fan voting, 25% from a media panel, and 25% from current players.
There are more All-Stars yet to be announced, chosen by the league’s head coaches. The list will be revealed on January 30, and the All-Star Game takes place in San Francisco on February 16.
James has secured a record 21 selections, more than any other player in NBA history.
