Aaron Pico Joins UFC After Leaving Bellator, Targets Ortega and Sterling

Aaron Pico has officially signed with the UFC after a successful tenure in Bellator MMA, aiming to fight top contenders.

Aaron Pico is now a member of the UFC, officially confirmed on Tuesday after becoming a free agent from Bellator MMA. Pico has been a prominent figure in Bellator, steadily working toward a title opportunity. He is now set to restart that journey in the UFC.

Pico (13-4) left the Professional Fighters League, which took over Bellator in 2023, and his signing reflects a growing trend of Bellator fighters moving to the UFC. Notably, two-time Bellator champion Patricio Pitbull is making his UFC debut soon.

馃摳 Pico鈥檚 official announcement via Instagram: “After years of hard work, dedication, and unwavering belief, I鈥檝e officially signed with the UFC! This is more than just a dream come true; it鈥檚 the beginning of a new chapter… I’m ready to work harder than ever before to make that a reality!”

Pico had a potential matchup with the highly-rated Movsar Evloev, but it did not materialize. Instead, he is setting his sights on other top featherweights in the division, particularly targeting Aljamain Sterling and Brian Ortega as lucrative opportunities.

With an impressive wrestling background as a multi-time gold medalist, Pico is determined to become a champion in the UFC after three consecutive victories in his last fights.
