NFC East Owners Meeting Insights: Dan Quinn Excited About Deebo Samuel's Arrival

Recent updates from the NFL owners meeting reveal key thoughts from NFC East coaches about their players. Dan Quinn expresses enthusiasm regarding Deebo Samuel's addition to the Commanders.

The NFL Owners Meeting recently occurred in Palm Beach, Florida, bringing several notable comments from team coaches. Below are insights particularly highlighting the NFC East.

Washington Commanders: Dan Quinn expressed his excitement regarding the acquisition of Deebo Samuel via trade from San Francisco, stating:

“Coaching against him, this is an explosive player… He has both of those and an explosive nature. To add a player of his caliber into a tough and strong group, we’re really pumped about it.”

In 2024, Samuel had a challenging season with the 49ers, averaging only 10.2 PPR points, but will step up as the No. 2 receiver in Washington, partnering with Terry McLaurin. Fantasy managers should think of him as a potential No. 3 receiver pick.

Dallas Cowboys: Coach Brian Schottenheimer conveyed that Javonte Williams is eager to demonstrate his skills after signing with the Cowboys. He noted:

“I love his short area quickness. I love the power he runs with… Javonte is one of those guys. He’s hungry.”

Fantasy drafts may position Williams in Round 7 depending on how the roster changes after the NFL Draft.

New York Giants: Coach Brian Daboll remains optimistic about Russell Wilson, highlighting his experience and play-making abilities even as he ages. Daboll remarked:

“He makes good decisions with the football, he’s athletic… phenomenal deep ball thrower.”

Philadelphia Eagles: On Dallas Goedert, Sirianni confirmed:

“He’s a heck of a football player, heck of a leader… he’s on our football team right now.”

However, his future with the team remains uncertain as he approaches the end of his contract.
