Star Golfers Miss the Cut at the 2025 Masters

Key players including Brooks Koepka and Phil Mickelson will not compete over the weekend.

The top of the leaderboard at the 2025 Masters features many of the season’s best golfers. While the top tier of competitors shines, several notable names failed to secure a spot for the weekend. Those who did not make the cut at +2 include:

  • Russell Henley (+3)
  • Dustin Johnson (+3)
  • Phil Mickelson (+5)
  • Brooks Koepka (+5)
  • Sergio Garcia (+4)
  • Tony Finau (+4)
  • Cameron Young (+7)

Despite a strong showing this season, Henley struggled with a 79 on the first day and could not recover during the second. Brandishing a strong start to the Masters, legends like Bernhard Langer and Fred Couples also fell short in their second rounds, missing the cut by slim margins. This is a scenario golf fans had wished to avoid, particularly at a prestigious tournament like the Masters.
