Thunder Breaks NBA Record for Scoring Differential in a Season
The Oklahoma City Thunder achieves an unprecedented season, outscoring opponents by a significant margin, setting a new record in the NBA.
The Oklahoma City Thunder had an extraordinary regular season, achieving a record of 68 wins and 14 losses, while outscoring their opponents by an average of 12.9 points per game. This achievement breaks the previous record of 12.3 points per game held by the Los Angeles Lakers since 1971-72, marking a significant moment in NBA history.
“We can appreciate and be grateful for the things we’ve accomplished and still be hungry,” said Oklahoma City coach Mark Daigneault.
Translation: We can feel proud of our achievements and yet continue to strive for more.
The Thunder’s outstanding performance not only allowed them to dominate the Western Conference but also represented one of the best regular seasons in NBA history. They are poised to enter the playoffs with a strong title contention, opening the postseason at home on April 20 against either Golden State, Memphis, Sacramento, or Dallas.
