Villa Park Plays Wrong Anthem Before UCL Encounter Against PSG

Aston Villa experienced a mix-up as their stadium mistakenly played the Europa League anthem during the Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain.

During the Champions League quarterfinal second leg match at Villa Park, Aston Villa heard the wrong anthem as the Europa League tune mistakenly echoed through the stadium just before facing Paris Saint-Germain.

As players lined up, confusion arose among them until the correct Champions League anthem was played before the kick-off. This amusing incident brought to mind similar past mistakes, including one involving Uruguay during the 2016 Copa America.

The game itself saw PSG take an early lead with Achraf Hakimi scoring just 11 minutes in, thanks to a miscue from Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez. Another goal by Nuno Mendes solidified PSG’s advantage in their pursuit of reaching the semifinals.
