Xavier Worthy Reflects on AFC Title Game Performance: 'Their Loss'

After scoring a touchdown in the AFC Championship victory over the Bills, rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy highlights the Buffalo team's decision not to draft him.

Xavier Worthy made headlines after he played a crucial role in the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship game, scoring a touchdown and leading the team to a close 32-29 win.

In the game, Worthy achieved six receptions for 85 yards and contributed two rush attempts totaling 16 yards. His standout moment was a remarkable catch that set the stage for one of Patrick Mahomes’ two touchdown runs.

Xavier Worthy: “They skipped on me. That’s their loss.” Translation: They chose not to pick me; it’s their mistake.

The Bills had previously selected the 28th overall pick in the draft but opted to trade it instead of drafting Worthy, who was regarded as the fastest player at the NFL Scouting Combine. Following the game, Worthy’s comments after his performance raised eyebrows and drew attention to the decision-making from the Bills management.

This performance not only solidified Worthy’s place in the game but also raised questions about how his selection could have changed the Bills’ season.
