Brazilian soccer sensation Neymar is poised to make a return to Santos FC after having his contract with Al Hilal terminated, according to various reports.
The 32-year-old forward made a big move to the Saudi Pro League in August 2023, signing a contract worth $300 million, but played only seven matches over two seasons due to injuries, including a serious knee injury that prevented him from participating in the Copa América.
Neymar will now head back to Brazil to rejoin his formative club, Santos, where he began as a youth player in 2003 and made his professional debut in 2009. He achieved great success with Santos, netting 107 goals in 177 appearances before transferring to FC Barcelona in 2013 for a fee of $80.5 million.
Neymar is eyeing a place on Brazil’s 2026 World Cup roster and will be 34 years old when the tournament commences.
This is a developing story.
