In a decisive match on April 16, 2025, Tyler Herro showcased his skills by scoring 38 points, leading the Miami Heat to a 109-90 victory over the Chicago Bulls in the Play-In Tournament. Herro’s impressive performance, especially in the first half where he contributed 23 points, helped the Heat dominate with a 71-47 lead at halftime.
This victory marked a repeat play-off elimination of the Bulls by the Heat for the third consecutive year. The Heat now look forward to a match-up against the Atlanta Hawks this coming Friday.
Herro executed a remarkable game, making his first eight shots and finishing with a 13-of-19 shooting accuracy, including three 3-pointers. His teammates, Andrew Wiggins and Bam Adebayo, also made significant contributions with 20 points and 15 points, respectively.
For the Bulls, Josh Giddey led the team with 25 points, while Coby White and Nikola Vucevic added 17 points and 16 points, respectively. Despite narrowing the lead to 13 points in the fourth quarter, the Bulls could not sustain the pressure and thus missed out on the playoffs once again.
During the game, the Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams was seen courtside and received a warm round of applause from the crowd. The Heat capitalized on their momentum, striking back with a 16-5 run to begin the second quarter and dominating the scoring.
