2025 RBC Heritage Prize Money Breakdown: What Golfers Will Earn from the $20 Million Pool

An overview of the prize distribution for the RBC Heritage tournament, including insights on top players competing for the significant prize purse.

Coming off one of the best Masters in recent memory, the PGA Tour season is rolling right along this week into the 2025 RBC Heritage. The best players in golf are competing atop a stacked leaderboard after making the short trip from Augusta, Georgia, to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, for a premier signature event at Harbour Town.

The RBC Heritage is the fifth such signature event of the season on the PGA Tour, which features a lineup of the most notable and talented players in a no-cut competition, offering a large prize pool. The $20 million prize at the RBC Heritage is only $1 million less than the Masters’ prize from the previous week, with the winner also receiving a jacket — albeit not as iconic as the green jacket awarded at the Masters.

Scottie Scheffler aims to repeat his victory at Harbour Town Golf Links, but he will face strong competition from other top golfers, particularly Justin Thomas, who has a considerable lead entering the weekend.

Notably absent this week is Rory McIlroy, the Masters champion, who opts to celebrate at home in Northern Ireland instead of attempting to win back-to-back events as Scheffler did last year.

The contest will see competitors vie for the plaid jacket and the substantial payout of $3.6 million.
