Thunder Triumph Over Grizzlies Again in Game 2

Oklahoma City Thunder secures a commanding victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, leading the playoff series 2-0.

The Oklahoma City Thunder showcased their might once more, overpowering the Memphis Grizzlies with a score of 118-99 in Game 2, extending their lead to 2-0 in the playoff series. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the charge with 27 points, while Jalen Williams contributed 24 points and Chet Holmgren posted impressive stats with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 blocks.

Following an outstanding victory in the opener, where they triumphed 131-80, the Thunder have consistently defeated the Grizzlies by double digits throughout the season, winning all six encounters.

For Memphis, Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 26 points, and Ja Morant added 23. The Grizzlies will attempt to bounce back at home in Game 3 scheduled for Thursday.

Oklahoma City’s fast start included a 9-0 run, during which the Grizzlies were unable to score in the first 3.5 minutes, missing their initial 10 shots. Gilgeous-Alexander found his rhythm in the second quarter, hitting two three-pointers quickly, extending the lead to 55-38. At halftime, Oklahoma City led 70-52, making a playoff record of 12 three-pointers in the first half.

Despite Memphis’s efforts to close the gap in the third period, the Thunder maintained their edge and closed out the game strong.
