Syracuse Welcomes Former Notre Dame Quarterback Steve Angeli: A Strategic Move for the Orange

Syracuse adds former Notre Dame QB Steve Angeli as they continue to build a strong roster through strategic portal recruiting.

After a successful debut season leading Syracuse to 10 wins, head coach Fran Brown continues to strengthen his roster by adding former Notre Dame quarterback Steve Angeli. This move follows the acquisition of Kyle McCord from Ohio State, showcasing the Orange’s ability to attract transfers with regional ties.

Angeli’s connection to the team stems from his high school days at Bergen Catholic, where he played under Syracuse quarterbacks coach Nunzio Campanile. Despite a challenging quarterback competition with the addition of LSU transfer Rickie Collins, Angeli aims to make an impact as he transitions into the Syracuse program.

With a more demanding schedule ahead, including matchups against top teams like Clemson and Tennessee, Syracuse hopes Angeli’s experience will not only enhance the quarterback depth but also position the team for continued success amid notable roster changes.
