Golden State forward Jimmy Butler will undergo an MRI after a hard fall during Game 2 of the playoffs against the Houston Rockets.
Golden State Warriors forward Jimmy Butler is set to undergo an MRI after a tough fall during Game 2 of their playoff series against the Houston Rockets, as reported by the Warriors’ PR.
Butler was forced to exit the game after sustaining an injury due to a foul from Amen Thompson in the first quarter. Following the incident, he was taken to the locker room for examination, where he was later diagnosed with a pelvis contusion.
The play occurred when Thompson collided into Butler’s legs while attempting to secure a rebound, resulting in both players hitting the floor. Butler appeared to be in significant discomfort as he walked gingerly to the locker room.
Initially uncertain about the nature of his injury, Butler later managed to return to the court to shoot free throws but was removed from the game shortly after.
The Rockets maintained control throughout the game, defeating the Warriors 109-94, thus evening the series. The next matchup in the series is scheduled for Saturday at 8:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
