The 2025 NFL Draft is underway and it is set to be one of the most interesting drafts in recent memory. As the draft begins, every team has their original first-round pick – the latest all the teams have possessed their original pick since the common-draft era began in 1967.
The Tennessee Titans had the No. 1 draft pick for the first time since 1978 and took Miami quarterback Cam Ward.
Colorado wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter (drafted by the Jaguars after a trade with the Browns) and Penn State pass rusher Abdul Carter (No. 3 to the Giants) follow shortly after.
Want to know what I think of every pick made Thursday in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft? You can find it all below. Remember to refresh this page throughout the weekend to get the latest grades:
1. Titans: Cam Ward, QB, Miami
Grade: B-
Selecting Ward at the top and passing on generational talent like Travis Hunter is a bold yet questionable choice.
2. Jaguars (from Browns): Travis Hunter, WR/CB Colorado
Grade: A+
This pick was imperative for the franchise. Hunter is a star and the best player in the draft.
3. Giants: Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State
Grade: A
By passing on a quarterback to draft the best pass rusher, the Giants are adding important depth on defense.
4. Patriots: Will Campbell, OT, LSU
Grade: B-
While Campbell has potential, questions remain about his ability to thrive at left tackle.
5. Browns (from Jaguars): Mason Graham, DT, Michigan
Grade: C+
Cleveland’s long-term plans for their defensive lineup are taking shape but the concerns about Graham’s size linger.
6. Raiders: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
Grade: B+
The Raiders enhance their running game by picking up the top back in this draft.
This is an evolving narrative during the draft! Keep checking back for new information, grades, and updates.
