Ja Morant's Injury Update: Grizzlies' Star to Miss Elimination Game After Hip Injury

Ja Morant will sit out Game 4 against the Thunder after suffering a hip injury in Game 3.

The Memphis Grizzlies announced that their star guard Ja Morant will not play in Game 4 against the Oklahoma City Thunder this Saturday due to a hip injury. Morant sustained the injury after a hard fall in Game 3.
Down 3-0 in the series, the Grizzlies face potential elimination without their top playmaker, and Morant’s season might be over. He fell awkwardly during a play late in the second quarter while receiving a pass on a fast break.

Morant remained on the ground for an extended period, missing both free throw attempts and exiting the game. He didn’t return, leading to a historic comeback by Oklahoma City, who won 114-108. The Thunder have outperformed the Grizzlies by 60 points while Morant has been sitting on the bench during this series.
Grizzlies coach Tuomas Iisalo shared that Morant will be evaluated on Friday. The injury had a significant impact on Memphis’s energy and performance, Iisalo noted.
