After witnessing Shedeur Sanders slip away from the early rounds of the NFL Draft, anticipation surrounds his potential spot. Former Falcons wide receiver Roddy White recently shared a bold proposal on social media regarding Sanders’ future. He suggested that the Jacksonville Jaguars should select Sanders to soon reunite him with his old college teammate, Travis Hunter.
If this move were to happen, it might create tension with Trevor Lawrence. Therefore, White proposed sending Lawrence to the Pittsburgh Steelers in exchange for multiple first-round picks.
“If I’m the Jaguars, I draft Shedeur, call the Steelers, and tell them I need 3 first-rounders for Trevor and start the franchise fresh with Brian Thomas, Travis Hunter, and Shedeur Sanders,” — Roddy White (@roddywhiteTV) April 25, 2025
Although the Steelers may not consider parting with three first-round picks for Lawrence, they would likely take a call from the Jaguars about this swap. General Manager James Gladstone has already committed to a significant move by drafting Hunter, and another bold transaction involving Lawrence could establish his reputation as a first-time GM in NFL lore. All eyes remain on Sanders as the final draft day approaches.
