Collin Morikawa Parts Ways with Longtime Caddie JJ Jakovac, Enlists Joe Greiner
Morikawa announces a change in his caddie relationship, moving on from Jakovac to Greiner ahead of the Truist Championship.
Collin Morikawa will introduce a new caddie when he competes at the 2025 Truist Championship in Philadelphia next week. Morikawa announced his split from long-time caddie JJ Jakovac on Tuesday, with reports indicating his new caddie will be Joe Greiner, who previously worked with Max Homa.
Greiner was with Homa for several years before they parted ways shortly before the Masters. He recently caddied for Justin Thomas, leading him to victory at the RBC Heritage, thus breaking a three-year winless streak for Thomas.

Greiner will now take over as caddie for Morikawa, who is currently ranked fourth in the world. He aims to help Morikawa overcome a win drought that has stretched since 2023.
Since Morikawa joined the PGA Tour in 2019, he and Jakovac have built one of the most successful player-caddie partnerships, with Jakovac on the bag for all six of Morikawa’s victories, including two major titles. However, Morikawa hopes a fresh dynamic will reignite his path to victory.
