PSG's Luis Enrique Cautious of Arsenal's Resilience: 'This Team Can Change Everything'

After a narrow win in London, Paris Saint-Germain's coach Luis Enrique emphasizes the importance of maintaining focus against Arsenal, who he believes are capable of a comeback.

LONDON – Luis Enrique cautioned his Paris Saint-Germain players to avoid complacency at the Parc des Princes, knowing they risk returning to square one in their Champions League semifinal against Arsenal.

Ousmane Dembele’s early goal secured a vital 1-0 lead for PSG at the Emirates Stadium, but late misses by Bradley Barcola and Goncalo Ramos could prove costly. After dominating the first 20 minutes, the French champions encountered stiff resistance from Arsenal, who narrowly missed several scoring opportunities.

Mikel Arteta expressed confidence in his side’s ability to overturn the deficit in the second leg, while Enrique acknowledged that nothing is guaranteed, stating, “Mission accomplished this evening. Our only objective is to win the second leg at home as well. With Arsenal, we cannot let our guard down and be complacent. This is a team who can completely rewrite history in one second, and we’ll be back to square one. Nothing is in the bag yet, as they’ll have nothing to lose.”

PSG’s prospects would be boosted if Dembele recovers quickly from a potential hamstring injury, while the Gunners aim to leverage their momentum and experience in big European matches as they prepare for the return leg.
