A new tradition developing early in the MLB season consists of teams unveiling their new City Connect uniforms. While not every uniform receives unanimous praise, some have quickly gained popularity among fans.
The Arizona Diamondbacks have made a splash with their 2021 “Serpientes” City Connect uniforms, which featured a desert-themed color palette. This year, they are reviving the Serpientes logo but with a fresh color combination that combines shades of teal and purple, paying homage to their roots while incorporating a modern twist.
The new designs showcase a purple and black snakeskin pattern with vivid teal lettering. On the sleeves, a patch inspired by the Arizona state flag blends purple, black, and teal. A special jock tag reflects Arizona’s outline, marked with 1998/48 to commemorate both the franchise’s inaugural season and Arizona’s status as the 48th state of the union.
A standout feature of this year’s release is the introduction of hats featuring a snake ‘S’ logo, which is expected to become a favorite among fans in Phoenix. Previously, the team wore standard hats adorned with the ‘A’ logo while sporting the 2021 Serpientes uniforms, but this addition provides a unique flair.
