Cristiano Ronaldo's Son Selected for Portugal's U-15 Team

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. has been chosen for Portugal's U-15 squad, marking an important moment in his budding football career.

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., the 14-year-old son of renowned footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, has earned a spot on Portugal’s U-15 squad for the upcoming Vlatko Markovic international tournament in Croatia from May 13 to 18. This marks his first selection for the national team, highlighting his rising talent in the sport.

Portugal’s U-15 team will be competing against teams from England, Greece, and Japan in the tournament.

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. shared a touching moment on Instagram, posting a photo with his father and captioning it: “Proud of you, son!”.

Currently enrolled in the youth academy at Al-Nassr, where his father plays, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. had previously trained at the academies of Manchester United and Juventus, both of which are among his father’s former teams.

As for the elder Ronaldo, now 40, he is still a contender for his sixth appearance in the World Cup, contingent on Portugal qualifying for the 2026 event. He holds the record as the men’s all-time leading scorer in international football with a tally of 136 goals and boasts the most international appearances at 219. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has expressed his desire to play alongside his son in the future.
