MRI Scheduled for Steph Curry Following Injury in Warriors' Match Against Timberwolves
In a critical playoff game, Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors exits early due to a left hamstring strain, with his return uncertain.
Golden State’s star player, Stephen Curry, left the court during the second quarter of their playoff opener against Minnesota due to a strained left hamstring. The Warriors have confirmed he will not return to the game.
His availability for the upcoming Game 2 is also questionable. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr announced that Curry will undergo an MRI, following their victory over the Timberwolves.
“We’re definitely game-planning for him to not be available Thursday, but we don’t know yet,” stated Kerr to reporters.
“Definitivamente estamos planeando para que no esté disponible el jueves, pero aún no sabemos.”
Curry experienced discomfort in the back of his leg after making a shot, leaving the game with 13 points in just 13 minutes of play.
The 37-year-old has recently led the Warriors to a win against Houston in Game 7 of the first round, averaging 24 points per game in the series.
