Update on Stephen Curry's Injury: Warriors Star Expected to Miss Game 2

Stephen Curry will likely miss the upcoming game due to a hamstring strain sustained in Game 1 against the Timberwolves, with no clear timeline for his return.

The Golden State Warriors may face a significant setback in their playoff campaign as Stephen Curry had to leave the game against the Minnesota Timberwolves with a left hamstring injury in the second quarter. Coach Steve Kerr announced that Curry is scheduled for an MRI to assess the injury’s severity on Wednesday. Currently, there is no defined timeline for his return, and it is expected that he will not participate in Thursday’s Game 2.

Kerr stated, “We’re definitely game-planning for him to not be available on Thursday, but we don’t know yet. With a hamstring, it’s hard to imagine that he would play Thursday.”

Curry started the game strong, scoring 13 points in his first 13 minutes. However, he seemed to sustain the injury while defending. After some additional efforts, he exited the game with a noticeable limp.

Kerr mentioned, “I talked to him at halftime. He’s obviously crushed… but it’s part of the game. Guys get hurt, you move on.”

With a tight schedule, even a brief absence for Curry could see him miss multiple games. The Warriors, despite leading the series 1-0, will need to adapt to the change rapidly, particularly with a physical matchup against the Houston Rockets fresh in their minds. They aim for positive news from the MRI.
