The NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro will feature a special paint scheme highlighting the upcoming 2025 WNBA All-Star Game.
The design will utilize the colors and logo from the WNBA All-Star Game, which is scheduled to take place at Gainbridge Arena in Indianapolis on July 19. This event promises to bring together the best talent in women’s basketball just a week before NASCAR’s Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Indianapolis has established itself as a major hub for racing and women’s basketball, especially with the arrival of Caitlin Clark, the top pick in the 2024 draft by the Indiana Fever and a first-time All-Star.

As of now, Carson Hocevar has not yet secured a spot in the All-Star Race, as he is still seeking his first career victory in a points-paying NASCAR Cup Series event. If he doesn’t clinch a victory at Kansas Speedway prior to the All-Star Race, he must qualify through the All-Star Open, which allows the top two unqualified finishers from that race to advance. Additionally, he could earn a spot by winning the Fan Vote for the final starting position.
The promotion of the WNBA All-Star Game during the NASCAR event exemplifies the continued growth of women’s basketball and follows a longstanding tradition of basketball-themed race car designs, such as Jeff Burton’s promotion for the NBA All-Star Game during the 2004 Daytona 500.
