Jayson Tatum's Press Conference Cancelled After False Alarm at TD Garden

A false fire alarm disrupted Jayson Tatum's scheduled postgame interview at TD Garden following the Knicks' playoff victory over the Celtics.

A fire alarm was activated at TD Garden shortly after the New York Knicks secured a narrow 91-90 playoff victory over the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night. This incident led to a brief evacuation of the venue. Officials from TD Garden confirmed that the alarm was set off, but emphasized that no injuries were reported, and the cause is currently under investigation.

The alarm blared while Knicks players Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart were finishing their postgame interview. Meanwhile, Jaylen Brown from the Celtics had just wrapped up his remarks in a different room when media members were directed to exit.

As a result of the evacuation, Jayson Tatum’s anticipated postgame interview could not proceed.

The Knicks lead the series 2-0 after winning back-to-back games. Brunson scored crucial free throws with just 12.7 seconds left in Game 2. Tatum attempted a last-second shot but failed to execute as Mikal Bridges managed to disrupt the play.

Upcoming Game 3 and 4 are scheduled to take place at Madison Square Garden. Should a Game 5 be necessary, it will return to Boston.
