As the NHL offseason rolls on, the coaching carousel has seen new developments. The Anaheim Ducks have appointed Joel Quenneville as their next head coach. Quenneville, a three-time Stanley Cup winner, had not coached since stepping down in 2021 amid a scandal involving the Chicago Blackhawks. After a three-year hiatus, he was reinstated by NHL commissioner Gary Bettman last July.
Furthermore, the New York Rangers have secured Mike Sullivan as their new head coach. Sullivan, who previously coached the Pittsburgh Penguins, is recognized for his two Stanley Cup victories in 2016 and 2017.
