Anthony Edwards Makes Comeback in Game 2 After Left Ankle Sprain

Anthony Edwards returns to the court for the Timberwolves after an ankle injury in a playoff game against the Warriors.

In the Western Conference playoffs, Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves suffered an injury during Game 2 against the Golden State Warriors. He sprained his left ankle midway through the second quarter while attempting a layup. At that moment, the Timberwolves were leading 37-19.

Trayce Jackson-Davis, who contested Edwards’ shot, inadvertently landed on his ankle, causing the injury. Edwards was sidelined for the remainder of the first half but returned to finish the game.

Despite the injury, the 23-year-old Edwards, a three-time All-Star, has a history of playing through pain this postseason, including a previous ankle issue against the Los Angeles Lakers when LeBron James fouled him while diving for a loose ball.

Now, he aims to guide the Timberwolves to victory once more in the ongoing playoff series.
