Recap of the 2025 Dynasty Fantasy Football One-Quarterback Startup Mock Draft: Get the Best Value on Quarterbacks!

A detailed review of the latest mock draft in a one-quarterback dynasty league, highlighting key player selections.

Latest Mock Draft Recap

Recently, CBS Fantasy conducted a one-quarterback dynasty startup mock draft where each reception counted as a full point. Despite quarterbacks being undervalued compared to Superflex leagues, their importance remains significant, especially since they typically score the most in standard leagues due to six-point passing touchdowns. Having a young, elite quarterback can set a team up for long-term success, potentially lasting up to 15 years.

During this mock draft, I selected the promising quarterback Jayden Daniels with the 1st pick of the 3rd round. My decision came after considering notable quarterbacks like Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, both of whom have previously been at the top of my dynasty rankings. Daniels not only offers youth but is also projected as the top QB in 2025.

It’s worth noting that while established quarterbacks went early, rookies like Cam Ward and Jalen Milroe were selected much later, showcasing a talent gap within the class.

Participants in this mock included several analysts from CBS Fantasy and other reputable platforms, each contributing their insights:

  • Heath Cummings, CBS Fantasy
  • Matt Cooper, Couch Scouts FF
  • Joel Cox, CBS Sports
  • Jeff Blaylock, Footballguys
  • Dan Schneier, CBS Fantasy
  • R.J. White, CBS Fantasy
  • Dave Richard, CBS Fantasy
