Jadeveon Clowney is on the lookout for his fourth team in four years after being let go by the Carolina Panthers on a recent Thursday, freeing up $7.78 million in cap space for the team. Clowney, facing a configuration of $8.53 million in salary due for 2025, with $2 million guaranteed, says he’s not particular about his next destination, aiming to maintain top-notch performance.
“I’m definitely gonna play well,” expressed Clowney, referring to his commitment, regardless of where he lands. “You can mark my word on that. I don’t care where I end up playing at, I’m gonna play extremely well.”
In his lone season with the Panthers, he played 14 games, starting all and achieving 46 combined tackles—his best since 2018—with 24 being solo, and recording 5.5 sacks among other impressive stats.
“I think I played well for Carolina last year, considering the circumstances that unfolded for me,” he noted.
Clowney’s performance seemingly warranted a longer tenure with the team, although he wishes the termination came sooner, allowing him to find a new opportunity without delay.
Potential teams eyeing the three-time Pro Bowler include the Washington Commanders, San Francisco 49ers, and Tennessee Titans.
