Jamal Murray Leads Denver Nuggets to Overtime Victory Against Thunder in Game 3

The Denver Nuggets improved their playoff series record against the Oklahoma City Thunder, with Jamal Murray's performance pivotal in their overtime win.

Jamal Murray scored 27 points while Michael Porter Jr. contributed 21 points, propelling the Denver Nuggets to a 113-104 overtime victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 3, taking a 2-1 lead in the Western Conference semifinals.

Nikola Jokic added 20 points and 16 rebounds, while Aaron Gordon scored 22 points. The Nuggets had a close game, leading by only two points in regulation but managed an 11-2 run in overtime.

Despite missing all 10 three-pointers, Jokic initiated the overtime with a layup, ensuring the Nuggets never trailed again. Meanwhile, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, another MVP contender, struggled with 18 points, shooting poorly. Jalen Williams starred for the Thunder, scoring 32, and Chet Holmgren added 18 points.

The next game will be on Sunday at Ball Arena.

The contest was tied at 102 at the end of regulation, with both Gilgeous-Alexander and Jokic missing last-minute winning shots. After a significant defeat in Game 2, the Nuggets were determined to retain their competitiveness until they could leverage their experience in the tense atmosphere.

At one point, the Thunder led 56-51 at halftime, with Holmgren’s 16 points driving them forward. Porter quickly made his mark in the game, hitting his first five shots to keep the Nuggets close.

In a playful twist, Jokic arrived dressed as the Joker from DC Comics, reflecting his humorous spirit heading into the crucial match.
