The Vegas Golden Knights are now facing a 2-0 deficit in their second-round series against the Edmonton Oilers, and things just got even more challenging. Captain Mark Stone exited Game 3 with an upper-body injury and will not return.
During a chaotic first period, Stone attempted to pressure Oilers forward Corey Perry but lost his balance and fell onto the ice, where his head collided with Perry’s knee. After briefly recovering, he returned to the bench but soon went to the locker room for further evaluation and did not come back for the second period.
The Golden Knights later confirmed that Stone would miss the remainder of the game. With him sidelined, the team must now depend more heavily on his line mates, particularly Jack Eichel, Tomas Hertl, and Ivan Barbashev.

Stone currently leads the Golden Knights in this playoff season, with four goals scored in eight games, a testament to his vital role in the team’s postseason strategy.
