The NFL has revealed two additional matchups for the 2025 season, highlighting a game that features the defending Super Bowl champions. The Philadelphia Eagles will travel to face the Washington Commanders in a rematch of the 2024 NFC Championship Game, while the Green Bay Packers will visit Soldier Field to take on the Chicago Bears. Both games are slated for airing on Fox.
The Eagles vs. Commanders matchup will take place first, followed by the Packers vs. Bears game, both scheduled for Saturday, December 20 (exact times have yet to be disclosed). Notably, the NFL also featured Saturday games during Week 16 last year with kickoff times set for 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. ET. Unlike the previous season, both games will be broadcast on Fox this time.
This Eagles vs. Commanders contest is significant as it is a replay of last season’s conference championship game, during which the Eagles dominated on their path to Super Bowl LIX. Meanwhile, the Packers vs. Bears rivalry marks one of the oldest in NFL history, having started back in 1921.
