On Tuesday morning, the NFL revealed its official 2025 international schedule, marking a record-breaking season with seven international games across five different countries. The Minnesota Vikings will make history by becoming the first team to participate in back-to-back international games in two different nations.
In Week 4, the Vikings will face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Dublin, Ireland, followed by a matchup against the Cleveland Browns in London the following week. Unlike many teams that schedule a bye week after international games, the Vikings will continue their international tour!
The Vikings’ inaugural game in Ireland against the Steelers will also be historic as it marks the NFL’s first-ever regular-season game in the country.
“Playing in Ireland’s first-ever NFL game allows us to introduce new fans to the Minnesota Vikings and further the league’s efforts to globalize football,” stated Vikings Owner/President Mark Wilf. He expressed the honor of being chosen for this monumental game, adding that facing a prestigious team like the Steelers adds a unique challenge to the event. The team is excited about what promises to be an electrifying atmosphere at Croke Park.
The Vikings previously played an international match in Week 5 of last season, securing a victory against the New York Jets at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
“Our experiences in London have always been memorable; returning in 2025 as the first team to play two consecutive international games in different countries is an opportunity we couldn’t miss,” said Wilf. He noted the enthusiasm of UK fans for the Vikings, which often transforms the setting into a near homefield advantage.
