Curry Won't Force Comeback for Warriors' Game 5
Stephen Curry announces he won't rush back to the court for the Warriors in an important playoff game against the Timberwolves, highlighting concerns over his hamstring injury as Golden State faces a critical moment in the series.
Stephen Curry has confirmed that he will not attempt to rush his return to the Golden State Warriors for Game 5 against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference semifinals, stating, “Even if I wanted to be Superman, I couldn’t.”
The Timberwolves are now leading the series 3-1. If the Warriors manage to secure a victory in Game 5, it could provide Curry with extra time to heal his hamstring, which has kept him off the court. With a three-day gap until the next game, a win on Tuesday could be pivotal, depending on the condition of his injury.
Curry has expressed that he hasn’t been able to participate in any basketball activities during his recovery. He previously mentioned, “It’s hard to really predict this stuff. I felt great the whole game until I made a little pivot move on defense and felt something.”
For the Warriors to force a Game 6, they need a stronger performance from Jimmy Butler, who faced challenges in Game 4 but scored notably in earlier games. Golden State’s performance will be critical as they aim to extend the series and give Curry a viable chance to return in Game 6, should his hamstring heal appropriately.
