Al-Nassr Pursuing Kaoru Mitoma with a $112 Million Proposal After Brighton Denies Initial Bid
Al-Nassr is prepared to present a substantial offer worth $112 million for Brighton's Kaoru Mitoma following the rejection of an initial bid. Mitoma could join Cristiano Ronaldo's squad in Saudi Arabia.
Al-Nassr are ready to offer a package worth $112 million for Kaoru Mitoma after seeing an opening bid rejected by Brighton. The initial offer of $67 million was turned down by the Seagulls, but Mitoma is the preferred choice for the Saudi Pro League team as they aim to bolster their wing options.
With the transfer deadline approaching on Friday, Al-Nassr is eager to finalize the deal, with sources indicating that a lucrative bid is anticipated in the coming hours. A senior delegation from the club has traveled to the UK to finalize arrangements, also working on an $80 million deal for Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran.
Brighton is reportedly reluctant to lose one of their key players, and it’s unclear if such a significant fee would influence their decision. Mitoma, whose current contract with Brighton runs until 2027, joined from Kawasaki Frontale in 2021 and made a name for himself after a loan stint in Belgium. In 92 appearances, he scored 18 goals and provided 16 assists, establishing himself as one of the Premier League’s top left wingers.
Any transfer for Mitoma could trigger the departure of Sadio Mane from Al-Nassr, who tried to transfer the Senegal international during the summer but failed to reach a deal.
