With Sovereignty absent, the competition intensifies for another horse to secure a Triple Crown title. Journalism, runner-up in the Kentucky Derby, stands as the favorite with 8/5 odds. Other contenders include Sandman (4-1), River Thames (9/2), and Clever Again (5-1).
