
Gadi Kinda, Former Major League Soccer Player, Passes Away at 31 Following Health Struggles
The soccer community mourns the loss of Gadi Kinda, who recently passed away after a prolonged medical fight.
Maccabi Haifa announced on Tuesday that midfielder Gadi Kinda, a renowned Israeli player, has sadly passed away at the age of 31. Kinda, who previously played for Sporting Kansas City, had been facing severe health issues prior to his death.
Just two weeks ago, Maccabi Haifa disclosed that Kinda was hospitalized due to a complicated medical condition. The players of Sporting Kansas City honored him on May 10, posing with his jersey in a tribute before their match against the Portland Timbers, which ended in a 1-0 loss.

The club expressed their sorrow, stating: “We are deeply saddened by the passing of former Sporting KC midfielder Gadi Kinda. Our hearts go out to Gadi’s family, friends, and all who knew him.”
Kinda was celebrated for his exceptional skills during his four years with Sporting Kansas City from 2020 to 2023, where he netted 14 goals in 64 appearances. He also represented Israel at various youth levels and the senior team, earning ten caps and scoring in a key match against Andorra in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
He played his last match on March 29, contributing as a substitute in Maccabi Haifa’s 2-0 victory over Hapoel Haifa in the Israeli Premier League.
