Isaiah Stewart of the Pistons Faces One-Game Suspension, Misses Bobblehead Night

Isaiah Stewart has been suspended for one game by the NBA, causing him to miss his scheduled bobblehead night, which will still proceed without him.

The NBA announced on Friday that Isaiah Stewart, the center for the Detroit Pistons, received a one-game suspension without pay after accumulating his sixth flagrant foul this season. The timing of the suspension is notably unfortunate as fans are set to receive an Isaiah Stewart bobblehead tonight; however, Stewart himself will not be present at the event due to the suspension. It remains unclear whether the Pistons will reschedule his bobblehead night.

In addition to the suspension, the NBA imposed a $50,000 fine on Stewart for making “inappropriate and objectionable gestures” following his ejection during a past game on Wednesday against the Pacers, where the Pistons lost 133-119.

During his ejection, Stewart was given a Flagrant 2 foul with four flagrant-foul points prior to the incident, leading to his automatic suspension in accordance with league regulations.

Standing at 6 feet 8 inches and weighing 250 pounds, Stewart is currently averaging 5.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.
