NBA All-Defensive First Team Features Evan Mobley and Draymond Green

The NBA has announced its All-Defensive First Team, highlighting players including Evan Mobley and Draymond Green for their outstanding defensive performances this season.

Evan Mobley, who was named this season’s defensive player of the year, secured the highest votes for the NBA’s All-Defensive team announced on Thursday. Mobley received 99 first-team votes from a panel of 100 writers and broadcasters dedicated to NBA coverage. He was only a second-team selection on one individual ballot.

Joining him on the first team are Dyson Daniels from Atlanta, Luguentz Dort from Oklahoma City, Draymond Green from Golden State, and Amen Thompson from Houston. Daniels was one of the only players to appear on all 100 ballots, receiving 91 first-team nods and nine second-team votes.

Dort was listed on 99 ballots while Green, who has now been selected five times to the first team, garnered votes from 98 ballots, and Thompson received recognition on 97.

The second team comprised players such as Toumani Camara, Rudy Gobert, Jaren Jackson Jr., Jalen Williams, and Ivica Zubac. With this selection, Gobert marks his eighth time as an All-Defensive team member.

The awards were tallied shortly before the playoffs commenced, with remaining awards set to be revealed on Friday when the All-NBA teams are announced.
