Tyrese Haliburton Delivers Buzzer-Beater in Overtime Thriller Against Knicks

In an electrifying finish, Tyrese Haliburton's last-second shot propelled the Indiana Pacers past the New York Knicks in a dramatic overtime victory.

In an impressive turnaround, Tyrese Haliburton of the Indiana Pacers executed a step-back jump shot just in time, sending game one of the Eastern Conference Finals into overtime after overcoming a daunting 17-point deficit in the fourth quarter.

With only two points separating the Pacers from the New York Knicks and just seven seconds on the clock, Haliburton orchestrated a last-second play. Initially confined within the paint, he dashed back towards the three-point line aiming for a chance to clinch a win.

His shot ricocheted off the rim, soared above the backboard, and by sheer luck, fell in as time expired.

In a moment of playful bravado, Haliburton gestured towards the Knicks for their late-game collapse, then signaled to TNT commentator Reggie Miller in a nostalgic nod to the 1994 Eastern Conference Finals history.

Perplexingly, Haliburton’s shot was ruled a two-pointer as replay confirmed his foot crossed the line, making the score 125-125, thus forcing an overtime period.

The Pacers, buoyed by their momentum, ultimately secured a narrow 138-135 victory. As overtime began, the Knicks initially led by four points, yet Andrew Nembhard quickly responded with a critical three-pointer. The game became a back-and-forth contest until Nembhard executed a deft backdoor move to put the Pacers ahead 136-135.

Against all odds, they rallied from trailing by 14 points with less than three minutes left on the clock, closing the game on a sensational 20-6 run, highlighting the Pacers’ penchant for dramatic comebacks against recognized foes, such as their earlier wins over the Cleveland Cavaliers in the previous playoff round.

This incredible match showcased the essence of a comeback, as the Knicks found their earlier 99.7% win probability slipping away, while Haliburton cemented himself as a rising star in the league.
