The Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs secured their spots in the Super Bowl LIX on Championship Sunday. This highly anticipated event will occur at the Caesars Superdome, home of the Saints, in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 9, 2025, kicking off at approximately 6:30 PM ET.
New Orleans originally was scheduled to host Super Bowl LVIII, but an adjustment in the regular season’s length due to an increase from 17 to 18 weeks necessitated this change, as it conflicted with Mardi Gras celebrations.
The Superdome holds special significance for the residents of New Orleans, serving as a refuge during Hurricane Katrina. The facility has also been a prominent venue for various events.
“We’re about to put on one of the largest open parties on the planet,” said Marcus Brown, the head of the host committee.
The Super Bowl IV was the first of many hosted by New Orleans, which is tied with Miami for the most Super Bowls ever held in a single city.
