Worrisome Statistic Indicates Knicks are Nearing Elimination After Pacers Gain Home Advantage

The Pacers have taken a substantial lead in the playoffs, putting the Knicks on the brink of elimination.

If the New York Knicks fail to recover in the Eastern Conference Final, they’ll find themselves haunted by memories of Pascal Siakam during the offseason. The Pacers’ star forward lit up Madison Square Garden in Game 2 with a playoff-high 39 points, leading the Pacers to a dominant position in the series.

Here’s a concerning statistic: No team in NBA history has ever recovered from a 2-0 deficit in the Eastern Conference Finals after losing the first two games at home.

New York’s first appearance in the conference finals in 25 years could be fleeting unless they turn the series around.

Siakam scored 15 of 23 shots, showcasing his elite athleticism and ability to score in transition. “That’s why we brought him here,” said Tyrese Haliburton of Siakam. “He can score in so many ways and made big shots all game.”

With game 3 on the horizon, the Knicks will need to rethink their strategy as they head back to Indiana.
