The Edmonton Oilers seized a 2-1 series lead versus the Dallas Stars in the Western Conference Final on Sunday, decisively winning 6-1 at home.
The Oilers netted two goals in a swift 36-second span late in the first period, starting with Evan Bouchard putting them in front, followed by Connor McDavid adding another.

Dallas briefly narrowed the gap when Jason Robertson scored his first postseason goal at 15:35 into the second period, making it 2-1. However, McDavid quickly re-established a two-goal cushion just 19 seconds later.

The Oilers dominated the remaining minutes, with Zach Hyman scoring twice, followed by John Klingberg adding another, concluding the game at 6-1. Stuart Skinner showcased his skills in goal, stopping 33 of 34 shots. In contrast, Dallas’ Jake Oettinger stopped 18 from 24.
Sunday’s victory followed a 3-0 triumph in Game 2 by the Oilers. They also led for much of Game 1 but faltered in the third period, allowing the Stars to rally for five successive goals to win 6-3.
