Tyrese Haliburton Ascends to NBA Stardom After Stellar Game 4 Performance

Tyrese Haliburton's impressive performance in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals secures his place among NBA's elite, joining the prestigious 'Club SUPERSTAR'.

Tyrese Haliburton joined two exclusive groups with his outstanding showing in the Indiana Pacers’ 130-121 victory against the New York Knicks in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Firstly, his statistics placed him among just two other NBA players who achieved similar feats. Secondly, he gained entry into Club SUPERSTAR, a 12-member collection selected each season by Fox Sports’ Nick Wright.
According to Wright, Haliburton now stands alongside regular-season MVPs, NBA Finals MVPs, and perennial first-team All-NBA selections.
Along with Haliburton, the Club SUPERSTAR roster includes top performers from other playoff teams: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Brunson, and Anthony Edwards.
Veteran stars like LeBron James and Stephen Curry are also members.
The club returned two multi-MVP winners: Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
First-team All-NBA players Jayson Tatum and Donovan Mitchell remain on the list despite their early postseason exits. New Los Angeles Lakers addition Luka Doncic is also included.
Kevin Durant is the only player from Club SUPERSTAR whose team did not reach the playoffs, and his teammate Devin Booker was not invited for a second consecutive year.
Emerging talents Cade Cunningham, Victor Wembanyama, and Alperen Sengun narrowly missed out on their first invitations. Joel Embiid and Anthony Davis, unable to maintain fitness in 2025, lost their prior spots.
Haliburton’s exceptional form has been pivotal for the Pacers, helping them overcome the Bucks in five games during the first round and defeating Mitchell and the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Currently, he is a win away from leading the Pacers to the NBA Finals against Brunson and the Knicks.
“Tyrese Haliburton is the best player in this series,” said Chris Broussard on First Things First, echoing Nick Wright’s sentiments. “This dude is something special.”
Haliburton secured his spot in Club SUPERSTAR with a remarkable Game 4 stat-line: 32 points, 15 assists, 12 rebounds, and no turnovers. Among the 11 other members, only Nikola Jokic and James Harden have matched his achievement, but Haliburton is the first to do so in the playoffs.
The Pacers aim to complete the series against the Knicks in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday.
